What is Spearmint?

Spearmint is a species of mint native to much of Europe and Asia (Middle East, Himalayas, China etc.), and naturalized in parts of northern and western Africa, North and South America, and various oceanic islands. Used throughout the culinary and pharmaceutical industries.

Anti-fungal, antiseptic, antispasmodic, carminative, cephalic, emenagogue, insecticide, restorative and stimulant substance.


Hirsutism, reduce free testosterone, insomnia, digestive system, gentle relief for constipation, vomiting and nausea as well as flatulence, respiratory tract issues including relief for asthma, bronchitis, cough and sinus symptoms,  relieving heavy menstrual periods and it has been used by some during childbirth to ease labor difficulties.
