Hazelnut (Corylus avellana)

What is Hazelnut?

Hazelnuts have been important in the diets of humans since prehistoric times. Evidence of the nuts has been found in many Mesolithic and Neolithic sites in Sweden, Denmark and Germany. Archaeologists have also found the remains of filberts 5,000+ years old in prehistoric excavations from China. Hazelnut is an excellent carrier oil and has a reputation as being beneficial for all skin types. This oil can also be mixed with any creams and lotions.

Slightly astringent, toning, fast absorption. Tones and tightens skin, helps maintain firmness and elasticity of the skin. Helps to strengthen capillaries so might be useful against thread veins. Encourages cell regeneration while stimulating circulation.
